Mobile Substations & Portable Transformers

Mobile substations are fully equipped electrical substations mounted on semi-trailers or skids. They can be as modest as a trailer mounted transformer, or as complex as any land based substation.

Power Transformers

The PTI Transformers Manitoba factory was built in 1945 and just one year later rolled out its first transformer. Currently the workforce numbers 200.

Visible Break Transformers

The visible break feature allows operators to verify contact position through a sealed viewing window. The large viewing area shows the open/close position of the loadbreak switch.

High Voltage Padmount Transformers HVPT^TM

PTI Transformers designs and manufactures HV padmount transformers for use in a High Voltage Padmount Transformer Station.

Shunt Reactors

PTI Transformers manufactures single phase and three phase padmounted oil-filled shunt reactors used to correct capacitance on long cable runs in underground distribution systems.

PODS (Portable Outdoor Distribution Stations)

PTI Transformers designs and manufactures portable outdoor distribution stations (PODS) in standard sizes up to 12.5MVA at 145kV.
